Overview

Rodeo Dental’s partnership with PlayVS is built on a clear geographic and community logic: activating the schools closest to their office locations in greater Houston. I led the partnership strategy and local execution, designing a program that embedded Rodeo Dental into the fabric of each school’s esports season rather than treating the relationship as a one-time sponsorship.

Campaign Components

The program supported four high schools near Rodeo Dental offices in the greater Houston area for Spring 2025, enrolling 30 teams and 143 players. Rodeo Dental’s brand was integrated into Back to School and Playoff messaging distributed across Texas, giving the partnership statewide visibility within the relevant competitive context.

Community engagement went deeper than digital communications. The program included toothbrush donations to participating schools, career discussions with Rodeo Dental professionals, and mascot visits — touchpoints designed to make the brand feel present and personal in each school community. Special offers were extended to school administrators to deepen relationships at the institutional level, not just with students.

Customized communications were developed for each local school, ensuring that Rodeo Dental’s outreach felt relevant to the specific community rather than generic. This localization is what distinguishes a community partnership from a logo sponsorship.

Results

30 teams and 143 players were enrolled for Spring 2025 across four Houston-area schools. The tailored, community-first approach built relationships with administrators and students that position Rodeo Dental for sustainable, multi-season engagement.

The program is structured for expansion across Rodeo Dental’s broader footprint in Arizona and Colorado, using the Houston model as a replicable blueprint for community-rooted esports partnerships in other markets.
